Halladay

Nearly 2 hours from now (12:00 pm mt) Hall and Tambellini will be holding a press conference that will signify a new era in Oilers hockey. Hall is to sign a contract with the Oilers today. A contract that will likely be similar to the one John Tavares signed last year, a three year entry-level contract worth $900,000 per season in salary and guaranteed
signing bonus plus other attainable bonuses that bring the total annual value to $3.75 million. A big chunk of change for an 18 year old, but a value contract if Hall  meets his numbers to obtain the bonuses.

Our first sneak peak of the newly signed Taylor Hall will come Tuesday when the young guns suit up for the development camp at Clareview arena in Edmonton. There will be a number of others pushing for a roster spot as well. The very familiar names in Jordan Eberle and Magnus Paajarvi will be accompanied by Chris Van Velde, Jeff Petry, Philippe Cornet, and Teemu Hartikainen.

Noticeably absent from this camp is Linus Omark, a player who will be in North America next year. He is 23 years of age with a number of professional seasons behind him already, thus the Oilers aren't qualifying him as a rookie and won't be at the development camp.

This week will prove to be an exciting week for Oilers fans, the future of the team is becoming more of a reality by the day.
