Already Jordan's resume is a compilation of success at every level. Be it his 216 goals in 60 games as a
Novice player, to his most notable accomplishments during his four-year stint in the WHL. There he was a two time first team all star in 2008 and 2010. The Doc Seaman Trophy winner for scholastic player of the year in 2008. CHL Player of the Year award in 2010. He participated in two World Junior Championships, the MVP and Best Forward for the 2010 tournament, and is now the all time goal scoring leader. He finished last season with the Springfield Falcons of the AHL compiling 14 points in 9 games. He capped off the year with a spot on Canada in the Worlds before ever playing an NHL shift, joining the company of Toews and Lindros.
Eberle has been cut in the last two Oilers camps but is a shoe in for this years team. He has gained over 15 pounds and currently sits at 5'11" and 190 Ibs. His 175 Ibs stature the last time around was a big contribution for the Oilers to take it slow on his development process.
He's a fluid skater, has the hockey sense of some of the greats in the game, and now has the stature to play against established men in the NHL. The Oilers are weak on the RW side and Eberle fills that void, and given his qualities he could probably transition over to the Centre position quite easily if called upon. He's going to be a versatile forward and one that should compete for the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year for the 2010/11 season.
Eberle is going to be the shit ! The kids got some serious composure. Shoulda been a Surgeon. Hes gonna slice open the offensive zone like its his patient on an operating table. Go Oil !!
ReplyDeleteEberle will be a beast. And because of that I'd say trade Hemsky and Cogliano. You could get a physical experienced d-man for Hemsky and than move one of the extra D-men that we have along with Cogliano for a big bodied 3rd liner.
